Villa Parents Organization

St. Ursula Villa depends upon the generosity and talents of its parents to enrich the education offered to its students and to enhance the family atmosphere at the Villa. The Villa Parents Organization (VPO) provides leadership in these areas.

The purpose of the Villa Parents Organization is:

• to acquaint parents and the community with the activities of the school
• to act as a conduit for parents to meet one another
• to provide financial, organizational, and volunteer support for the enrichment of educational programs
• to provide the finances for special projects as recommended by the principal.

These goals are met through various events during the year. They include open houses, new family receptions, Grandparents and Special Friends Day, family liturgies, Catholic Schools Week, May Party, Fine Arts enrichment programs, Fine Arts Day. The VPO hosts the receptions for First Reconciliation, and Graduation. In addition, the VPO recruits room parents for each classroom as well as parent volunteers for our food days.

Sources of income for the VPO include the May Party, gift wrap sale, Christmas Card sales, flower sales and food day sales.

The VPO Board is made up of parents who are elected to serve a two-year term. The VPO welcomes all parental input and suggestions. Anyone interested in helping with VPO functions is urged to contact a Board member or appropriate chairperson.
