Camp Invention
Dates: June 11th-15th
Hours: 9:00 am - 3:30 pm (pack a lunch)

Let’s invent the future today! Fast Forward to Camp Invention’s new 2018 program where campers will explore with fun, hands-on activities that encourage creative problem solving, teamwork, entrepreneurship and curiosity. At the end of the program, each camper will bring home two personalized robots!

Mini – Musical Camp
Dates: June 18th-22nd
Hours: 9:00 am – 1:00 pm (pack a lunch)
Location: Drop off/Pick up in the MPR

Cost: $150

A Race to the Finish is a charming, witty, and whimsical mini-musical based on Aesop's most popular fable, "The Tortoise and the Hare." We will recreate the famous race between the slow and steady turtle and the over-confident rabbit. Students entering Kindergarten through 3rd Grade are invited to participate in this camp where they will learn songs and choreography, how to perform spoken lines in front of an audience, and most importantly, make new friends!


Wet-N-Wild Camp (1)
Dates: June 18th-22nd
Hours: 9:00 am – 1:00 pm (pack a lunch)
Location: Drop off/Pick up in the MPR

Offered to: Incoming K-3rd graders

Students will explore the wonders of water. Yes, there will be some science and learning involved, but they'll be having so much fun with various water-play activities to notice. Plan on getting wet each day; wear a bathing suit under your play clothes and be sure to pack a towel.


Young Outdoor Explorers/Nature Camp
Dates: June 25th-29th
Hours: 9:00 am – 1:00 pm (pack a lunch)

Offered to: Incoming 4 year old preschoolers-2nd graders

Experience the great outdoors right here on the Villa’s beautiful 22-acre campus. Hike the trails, play games, explore the environment, make nature crafts, discuss basic wilderness survival skills, and more!


Little Lady Scientist Camp
Dates: June 25th-29th
Hours: 9:00 am – 1:00 pm
Location: Drop off/Pick up in the MPR

Offered to: Incoming 1st-2nd graders

The Little Lady Scientist camp is designed to inspire young girls to be involved in science, technology, and engineering. The camp will include the following actives/lessons: daily science experiments, learn about different lady scientists, host a guest speaker, participate in a mini lady scientist play, and gain exposure to different science careers. There will be a different scientific theme each day of camp.


Young Artists
Dates: July 9th-13th
Hours: 9:00 am – 1:00 pm (pack a lunch)
Location: Main School Art Room
Lead Instructor: Mike Magoto, SUV Art Teacher
Offered to: Incoming 4 year old preschoolers – 2nd graders
Cost: $150

Budding artists will explore various mediums and the different styles of famous artists while creating many masterpieces they'll be proud to display at home. Parents are invited to gallery showing of the week's art projects at the culmination of the week, July 13th at 11:30.


LEGO Robotics 101- Dates: July 9th-13th (full)
LEGO Robotics 102- Dates: July 16th-20th
Hours: 9:00 am – 1:00 pm (pack a lunch)

Using the Lego Robotics kit, Boost, campers will build and customize Vernie, a personal talking robot friend. Campers can speak to Vernie and it will respond with facial expressions that reflect its mood. Vernie can move in all directions at variable speed on its large tracks, see objects and colors, sense distance, grip and carry accessories, make hand gestures and launch darts from its shoulder mounted launcher! Students in this camp will code Vernie’s behavior and complete other fun activities and challenges with the guidance of Dr. Cohen. Campers will work in groups of 2-3 (Consider purchasing your own LEGO Boost Robotics Kit on Amazon to work on at camp and continue the fun at home). 




Wearable Art
Dates: July 23rd-27th
Hours: 9:00 am – 1:00 pm (pack a lunch)
Location: Drop off/Pick up in the MPR
Lead Instructors: Abby Johnson and Caitlin Sanders, SUV teachers
Offered to: Incoming K-4th graders
Cost: $150

This camp is all about making art....that you can wear! Become a fashion designer and create with tie dye, duct tape, fabric and more! Scarves, bags, shirts, accessories…the possibilities are endless!


Princess Ballet Camp
Dates: August 6th-10th
Hours: 9:00 am – 1:00 pm (pack a lunch)

Offered to: Incoming 4 year old preschoolers – 1st graders

Calling all princesses from near and far! Come dressed in ballerina outfits ready to dance, share princess stories, play games, and work on special crafts. There will be a mini recital on August 10th at 12:30.

Soccer Camp
Dates: August 13th-17th
Hours: 9:00 am – 12:00 noon
Location: Villa Soccer Field
Lead Instructor: Jack Hermans, Director of OSYSA Summer Programs and Kristy Thomas, SUV Director of Athletics
Offered to: Incoming K-6th graders (campers will be put in age and skill-appropriate groupings)
Cost: $100

Coach Hermans is a former professional soccer player and former head coach of the Xavier University men's soccer team. He brings with him many talented coaches to help young athletes learn and practice soccer drills, the rules of the game, and teamwork in a fun atmosphere. Don't forget a water bottle and soccer ball.


Science Sampler
Dates: August 13th-17th
Hours: 9:00 am – 1:00 pm (pack a lunch)
Location: Drop off/Pick up in the MPR
Lead Instructor: Jacquie Berting, Outdoor Education Coordinator and 4th Grade Science Teacher
Offered to: Incoming 3rd-6th graders

Scientific method, inquiry-based exploration, and hands-on experiments…oh my! Young scientists will be all about this interactive week of exploring the different areas of science including biology, chemistry, physics, and geology!


Math Camp
Dates: August 20th-24th
Hours: 9:00 am – 1:00 pm
Location: Drop off/Pick up in the MPR
Lead Instructor: Elisabeth Mapes, SUV teacher
Offered to: Incoming 2nd-3rd graders
Cost: $150

Brush up those math skills and get ready for school with hands-on activities and games with Ms. Mapes. Feel free to send in Math Summer Solutions if you would like your child to work on it at the beginning of class.
