School’s Out!!!! Recess Camp

Kick off summer with a week-long recess! This camp will be full of both outdoor group games and indoor board and minute-to-win-it games and activities. While building teamwork skills and good sportsmanship, students will also learn the official rules for games ranging from Chinese Checkers and Trouble to Spud and Capture the Flag. Mini – Musical Camp

When a group of weary travelers creates a delicious meal from some unexpected ingredients, the gloomy citizens of Old Town ask, "Who ever heard of soup from a stone?”
In preparation for the big show, students will spend their mornings learning music, choreography, and how to read expressively. They’ll then showcase all their talent and hard work at a special performance of “Stone Soup” on Friday, June 16th at 12:00 in the MPR. Click here to register via the online store.?

 

Code-Make-Tinker-Play! STEAM Camp

In this exciting STEAM-filled week, campers will explore computer programming using the web-based program, Scratch. After making several games, campers will use a MaKey MaKey to bring their games to life. No prior coding/making experience is needed. The goal of this camp is to bring coding and the maker movement to life for the campers in a fun way! Laffalot Summer Camp

Laffalot Summer Camp offers kids a week of fun-filled activities that will leave them smiling, exhausted and ecstatic. Led by well-trained counselors, your child will spend the day playing high-energy sports and games that help them develop teamwork, build whole-body coordination, improve interpersonal skills, learn sportsmanship, and enjoy friendly competition. Young Artists

Let’s get going and Move it! mid-summer for a week of super fun indoor/outdoor activities to get the heart pumping! Activities will include some fun running/jogging/walking relay exercises as well as team games all while fostering healthy mindsets and building confidence. We’ll also be sure to have fun with color as we prepare for the super fun COLOR FUN FEST 5K (optional). Click here to register via the online store.

Join fellow SUV students, staff, and families for the Color Fun Fest 5K on Saturday (optional) as a culmination of the week. Runners will receive a white SUV shirt to wear as they get showered with over 10,000 pounds of color as they navigate the 1.8 mile course (can run the course more than once). Kids 12 & Under run for free! and teenagers/adults run for $24.99! An added bonus, the festival area features carnival attractions and all proceeds benefit the organization Just Care More. Coach Hermans is a former professional soccer player and former head coach of the Xavier University men's soccer team.
