Application Procedures
Application Procedures
Applications are accepted at all times for all programs. To have an application on file with the Admissions Office, parents should submit a completed Student Application, including the required application fee ($75.00). A Supplemental Application is required for students applying to Kindergarten through Grade 8. To obtain necessary forms, click here for Student Application for all applicants. Click here for the additional Student Supplemental form for Kindergarten through Grade 8.
Copies of previous school records and standardized test results should be sent to the Admissions Office. Click here for a checklist of required academic records. Admission testing is a prerequisite for certain grades. Placement testing for the 2009-2010 school year will be Saturday, December 13 at 9:00 a.m. Please contact Marta Runnels (m.runnels@stursulavilla.org), 513-871-7218 ext. 2101 for test details. If the prospective student's school records contain sufficient standardized testing data, this requirement may be waived by the Principal.
Information from the Application, previous school records, test results, professional evaluations, and the shadow day is used in making the admission decision. As soon as the completed file is reviewed and a decision made, parents are notified. Enrollment is confirmed only upon receipt of the signed Enrollment Contract and required deposit. Contracts are generated in January, with program openings filled from the lists of applicants on file with the Admissions Office.
Shadow Days
As an important step in the Application process, qualified applicants will be invited to spend a day at St. Ursula Villa where they will "shadow" a Villa student. Providing a clear picture of a "Villa day", applicants will attend classes, participate in activities and meet students in the St. Ursula Villa community. The Villa "Ambassador" program assures a welcoming and informational experience for those who visit our school. Arrangements for a shadow day must be made through Marta Runnels (m.runnels@stursulavilla.org or 513-871-7218 ext. 2101) in order to coordinate the school's availability, needs and requirements. Qualified applicants for grades 1 - 8 will be requested to shadow, with other transition opportunities for applicants to preschool through Kindergarten.
