Villa Boosters

The purpose of St. Ursula Villa Boosters is to contribute to the total development of Villa students by facilitating

• Physical fitness and athletic skill development
• An understanding of the spirit of athletic team competition
• The camaraderie and enthusiasm of school spirit

Our Philosophy
Development of the whole child is one of the Ursuline characteristics which define our mission as an Ursuline and Catholic school. The Villa sports program, therefore, is an important and integral part of our comprehensive school program. The primary focus of all sports at the Villa is to offer all students the opportunity to take part in school athletic activities. Consequently, any student who wishes to join any Booster sponsored team must be afforded the opportunity. Participation is emphasized on all Villa teams, and except for disciplinary reasons, coaches are expected, within reason, to apportion playing time equally among all members of the team. All teams are expected to adhere to specific league rules and guidelines with the understanding that Villa policies takes precedence over league guidelines.

The Boosters sponsor teams in soccer, basketball, volleyball, softball and baseball. "Spirit"-oriented activities include spirit wear sales and periodic sport and volunteer recognition activities.

The Booster Organization is comprised of St. Ursula Villa Students and is overseen by a Board composed of parents, teacher, and administrators. Funding is separate from tuition and therefore depends upon revenues from a nominal family membership fee and special events such as the student raffle.

Boys and Girls Soccer:

Fall and Spring with sign-ups in May and February respectively (SAY East)

Boys and Girls Basketball:

Girls Fall (CYO); Boys Winter (CYO); sign-ups in the fall

Girls Softball:

Spring, sign-ups in winter

Boys Baseball:

Spring, sign-ups in winter

Boys and Girls Golf:

Jr.-high, sign-ups in late spring for next fall
