Support the Villa
Capital Campaign
St. Ursula Villa has a strong heritage of providing a superior Catholic, virtue-based education. In order to remain an educational leader among regional elementary schools, we have invested in our future. A carefully-developed strategic Master Plan, initiated in 2003, addresses our school’s immediate needs while also planning for future campus development.
The Master Plan improves campus safety and will expand classrooms to accommodate current collaborative learning experiences and technology.
On January 25, 2009, the Villa community celebrated completion of Phase I of the Master Plan through our campaign, Honoring our Heritage, Nurturing the Future. Phase I features:
The Villa Way, a new thoroughfare/plaza which unites the campus, maximizes the use of level land, and links the campus’ two main buildings. The Villa Way also improves the carpool flow, with pick-up and drop-off on level land at the Multi-Purpose Room instead of beneath the “stilt building.” Further, it features outdoor education venues and play areas which are accessible in damp weather conditions. It also visibly reinforces St. Ursula Villa’s strong sense of community and identity, while maintaining the integrity of the original LeBlond property.
Air-conditioning in the main building, installed in the summer of 2008, enhances the learning environment and addresses extreme heat conditions in the classroom during warm weather months.
A newly seeded Financial Aid fund helps make a St. Ursula Villa education affordable and available for more families. We strongly believe that no child should be deprived of a Villa education solely due to financial need.
Phase II of the Master Plan will include additional classrooms and updated educationl space on our 20-acre campus.
