Capital Campaign
St. Ursula Villa has a strong heritage of providing a superior Catholic, virtue-based education. However, in order for us to remain an educational leader among regional elementary schools, we must invest in our future. A carefully-developed strategic Master Plan, initiated in 2003, addresses our school’s immediate needs while also planning for future campus development.
The Master Plan will improve campus safety and expand classrooms to accommodate current collaborative learning experiences and technology. The long-term plan also envisions enhancing our music and chapel experience. The Music Program would relocate from an outbuilding near the maintenance garage, and the Chapel would move from its current classroom space above the gym to the Manor House.
Our campaign to Honor our Heritage, Nurture the Future addresses Phase I of the Master Plan featuring:
The Villa Way, a new thoroughfare/plaza which will unite the campus, maximize the use of level land, and link the campus’ two main buildings. The Villa Way will also improve the carpool flow, with pick-up and drop-off on level land at the Multi-Purpose Room instead of beneath the “stilt building.” Further, it will create outdoor education venues and play areas which are accessible in damp weather conditions. Finally, the Villa Way will function as a platform for future phases of the Master Plan. The Villa Way is an investment in the future. It will also visibly reinforce St. Ursula Villa’s strong sense of community and identity, while maintaining the integrity of the original LeBlond property.
Air-conditioning the main building, to enhance the learning environment and address extreme heat conditions in the classroom during warm weather months.
Financial aid funding to help make a St. Ursula Villa education affordable and available for more families. We strongly believe that no child should be deprived of a Villa education solely due to financial need. Today our financial aid funds are extremely limited.
