Morning Schedule
Drop-off begins at 7:30 a.m. and runs until 8:00 a.m. Students gather in the Manor House lobby for story-time at 7:30, then enter their classrooms at 7:45.
Manor House Morning Drop-Off
- Cars must enter through the Villa Way entrance and proceed left into the Manor House parking lot at the side entrance/back patio of the Manor House.
- Teachers and assistants will be at the sidewalk assisting the students out of cars.
- Cars must be put into “park.” Students will exit the car from the passenger side and walk into the building. We ask that you not get out of your car.
- Once your child has been dropped off, wait for the car in front of you to leave (never pass the car).
- Exit the Manor House parking lot to the right proceeding down the front driveway, cautiously staying left of the buses, and exit left onto Vineyard Place.
- If you wish to walk your child into the building, particularly at the beginning of the year, please park in a designated spot in front of the Manor House and enter through the front door.
Manor House Dismissal (Half-Day and Full-Day)
- Half-Day dismissal takes place at 10:55 a.m. Afternoon dismissal for all Full-Day students takes place at 2:55 p.m.
- Enter through the Villa Way entrance and proceed left into the Manor House Parking lot to the side entrance/back patio of the Manor House.
- Cars will assemble in four lines to await students’ dismissal. Please follow the marked yellow lines and the direction of staff members to assist you in forming the lines.
- After parking in your spot in line, turn off your engine and stand along the sidewalk to wait for your child to be released.
- Once all car engines are off and all the lines are full, a staff member will blow a whistle, and students will be dismissed for you to assist them into the car.
- Once all cars in the dismissal lines have been loaded, and the staff member has made a final check for safety, dismissal lines will be released one at a time.
- Lines of cars must exit the Manor House parking lot to the right proceeding down the front driveway, and exit left onto Vineyard Place.
Some important carpool information
- Morning carpool traffic is one lane only. Do not pass any vehicle stopped along the sidewalk for any reason.
- Students arriving in the morning are to get out of their vehicles on the passenger side only.
- All Villa Way traffic (morning and afternoon) flows down the hill behind the carriage house (art room) to the soccer fields. No left turn to the upper parking lot is allowed.
- Adults and students should use the bridge to walk down to the Main School from the Manor House and upper parking lot.
- To ensure the safety of both children and adults in afternoon carpool, you must turn off your engines and refrain from using your cell phones. Because many of the children are small in stature, we must all be totally alert to our surroundings.
- Current Ohio state law mandates that children under 40 pounds and/or four years old must be in a car seat or booster seat appropriate for the child’s age and weight. By law, children ages four through seven who are less than 4’9” tall must ride in a federally approved booster seat.
- For safety reasons, please do not leave your car running or unattended at any time while you are on the campus. If you need to go into a building, please park in a marked space.
- Bus arrivals and departures are directed and monitored by teachers.
