Safe Sitter Babysitting Training Course
6th Grade to 8th Grade
Dates: Jun 17-20, 2019
Hours: 9am-Noon
Cost: $155
Description: This intensive program teaches young teens the skills, knowledge, and attitudes to be safe babysitters. Young teens need training in first aid, indoor and outdoor safety, and how to handle household emergencies before they are adequately prepared to stay home alone or watch younger siblings. Safe Sitter® graduates are prepared with the knowledge they need to prevent problems and handle unexpected emergencies. Mrs. Shaffer will facilitate opportunities for the sitters-in-training to interact with preschool-aged day campers during the session as well.

Wheel Throwing Pottery Camp
4th Grade to 8th Grade
Dates: Jun 17-21, 2019
Hours: 9am-Noon
Cost: $130
Description: Artists will focus on the ideas and methods of working with clay to build tile, sculptural and vessel forms. They will develop hand-building techniques that include carving, modeling, and wheel throwing in addition to exploring techniques to create expressive surface designs.
* Consider making a day of it and sign up for Oil Painting from 12:30-3:30 (be sure to pack a lunch).

Oil Painting
4th Grade to 8th Grade
Dates: Jun 17-21, 2019
Hours: 12:30-3:30pm
Cost: $130
Description: Artists will explore color mixing, methods of paint application, and important safety procedures when using oil paints. Students will use oil paints to create paintings using a variety of reference materials including both still life and photographs while exploring shape, form, color, and placement of lights and darks. All supplies included.
* Consider signing up for the morning Wheel Throwing Pottery Camp too; just pack a lunch and eat with Mr. Magoto between camps.

Wearable Art 102
3rd Grade to 6th Grade
Dates: Jun 24-28, 2019
Hours: 9am-1pm (includes lunch/recess)

Description: This camp is all about making art...that you can wear! Become a fashion designer and create with tie dye, duct tape, fabric and more! Scarves, bags, shirts, accessories…the possibilities are endless! Please note, Mrs. Johnson and Ms. Layne will be able to do some more involved projects with this older age group.

The Great Villa Baking Camp
4th Grade to 8th Grade
Dates: Jun 24-28, 2019
Hours: 9am-1pm (includes lunch/recess)

Description: Inspired by the The Great British Baking Show, Senior Williams and Monsieur Tylka will host a baking camp with British flair. Students will take part in baking cakes, breads, pastries and desserts throughout the course of the week. They’ll be able to eat their creations and bring some home to share. While there won’t be any eliminations, there will be challenge winners along the way. Keep Calm and Bake On!

Oregon Trail Adventure Camp
3rd Grade to 5th Grade
Dates: Jun 24-28, 2019

Description: Attention, Attention! Mrs. Kruse is seeking brave souls to travel across the country to reach the paradises of the West on the Oregon Trail! Along the way you will encounter trading posts, challenges, crafts, stories and more! This will be an immersion experience dating back to the 1800's! Adventure is out there! Let's go find it!

Creative Crafting 102
3rd Grade to 6th Grade

Here you will attend classes like potions and herbology, play a game of quidditch, hunt for horcruxes, and of course celebrate Harry Potter's birthday on July 31st! Mrs. Wood and Ms. Berting are excited to share their love of Harry Potter with you!

Villa Olympic Games
3rd Grade to 8th Grade
Dates: Jul 22-26, 2019

Learn the techniques, science and fun behind making classic Italian foods like breads, pizza, pasta and delicious desserts. Not only do you get to eat your own tasty experiments, but you can take home your results and impress your family, too!

Summer Reading Requirement Book Club
6th Grade to 7th Grade
Dates: Aug 05-09, 2019
Hours: 9am-1pm (includes lunch/recess)
Cost: $155
Description: Incoming 6th-7th graders will meet together with Mrs. Harding to read and discuss the assigned summer readings and work through comprehension questions to prepare for class discussions in August. There will also be a focus on incorporating writing skills through various activities. Be sure to bring Simple Solution books and DWP projects to work on as well. Don’t worry, there will be snacks, lots of breaks, and comfy spots to read! Plus, students will complete their summer reading assignments and leave with a study guide and notes.

Soccer Camp
KNDG to 6th Grade
Hours: 9am-Noon
Aug 12-16, 2019
Description: Coach Hermans is a former professional soccer player and former head coach of the Xavier University men's soccer team. He brings with him many talented coaches to help young athletes learn and practice soccer drills, the rules of the game, and teamwork in a fun atmosphere. Don't forget a water bottle and soccer ball. 

Math/LA Refresher
4th Grade to 6th Grade
Hours: 9am-1pm
Dates: Aug 12-16, 2019
Description: Calling all intermediate students! Be sure to sign up for this crash-refresher course to review those reading, writing, and arithmetic skills with Ms. Berting and Mrs. Harding before the school year starts. In addition, students will have the opportunity to finish up their grade-level summer reading assignments with support from peers and teachers. Feel free to send in Summer Solutions books if you would like your child to finish those up too!
